Ms. Derrick was elected to the Board in April, 2015. She is a financial consultant with over ten (10) years’ experience in finance, investments and project management. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Decision Sciences from Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. She is also a Certified Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute. Her work experiences, which have included international assignments, have spanned both private and public enterprises. She started in the technology field customizing databases before expanding into project and financial management. After managing the foreign currency reserves at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, she worked in the Ministry of Finance analyzing and solving financial complications. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA) and having completed the Directors Education and Accreditation Programme (DEAP), she holds the designation Acc. Mrs. Matthew-Edwards was elected to the Board in April, 2015. She is a Chartered Accountant, 1994, with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and the Council Secretary of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean, Antigua and Barbuda Branch (membership since 2002). Mrs. Matthew- Edwards obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (cum laude), with a double major in Accounting and Finance (1992) before becoming qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Her professional experience includes her employment with PricewaterhouseCoopers (1992 to 2010). She later opened her own accounting firm, Concord Business Associates in 2010. She has been actively involved in the Antigua and Barbuda Girl Guides Association as a Leader (1992-2012), the Antigua and Barbuda Waste Recycling Corporation (Board Secretary, from 2004), and served as a Board Member and Treasurer of the New Winthorpes Wesleyan Holiness Church (from 2005 to 2015). Ms. Simon was elected to the Board in March, 2017. She is an accountant by profession and has operated her own firm, Accounting Solutions since 2003. She is a proud graduate of the Ottos Comprehensive School and the University of the West Indies. She was admitted to membership of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, ACCA UĶ in 1997. She is a practicing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean, ICAEC. Ms. Simon also holds diplomas in Computer Repair and Networking from the Antigua Barbuda Institute of Information Technology, ABIIT. She has sat on the Boards of the Antigua and Barbuda Employers Federation, The National Development Foundation and is the current chair of the Antigua Barbuda Coalition of Service Industries, ABCSI. Ms. Simon is a member of the Vestry of The Cathedral and St. John’s and hosts a weekly programme on DNECA Radio, called Money Matters. She is also a contributing writer to Business Focus magazine. Mr. Charles was re- elected to the Board in December, 2017. He previously served on the ACB Board of Directors from June 19 2003 to April 23, 2015. During that period, he was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board in January, 2007 and served in that capacity until his retirement in April, 2015. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, ACB Mortgage & Trust Company Limited since May, 2005 to April, 2015. Mr. Charles is a Chartered Accountant and the principal of Firm, CD Charles Chartered Accountants, from 1994 to present. In April, 2016, he assumed the role of General Manager and Director at Hutchinson Antigua. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of Cable & Wireless (Antigua) Ltd., a Telecommunications Company which operates in Antigua & Barbuda (2003 to 2015). Mr. Charles holds a Bachelor of Commerce, B. Comm- Major in Accounting Degree and a Bachelor of Arts, BA- Major in Economics Degree from the St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Mr. C. Kevin Silston was elected to the Board in December, 2018. He is an economist by profession with more than 20 years of experience working in the areas of economics and finance. Mr. Silston is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Benefits Scheme, a Public Corporation primarily responsible for financing healthcare in Antigua and Barbuda. Prior to this appointment, he worked for 5 years as an Advisor to the Executive Directors for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean at the International Monetary Fund and at the World Bank, in Washington D.C., USA. He also has previous experience working as a Senior Economist in the Research Department of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), and as Deputy Financial Secretary at the Ministry of Finance in Antigua. Ms. Roberts actively participates in the management of the law firm and heads the firm’s Litigation Department and the Banking, Finance and Securities Department. She has over fifteen (15) years of legal experience in a wide range of practice areas including banking law, commercial law, civil litigation, employment law and real estate law. In particular, she has extensive experience in banking law and has advised and acted on behalf of various financial institutions throughout the years. She is an Information Technology (IT) Consultant by profession and has implemented IT systems for governments and the private sector for more than 25 years. She is involved in software engineering having compiled user requirements resulting in system specifications, which guide the software development process. She describes herself as a highly motivated professional with strong skills in project management, software design, business analytics, data analytics, digitization, computer system implementation, procurement and training. Ms. Zachariah has a BSc in Computer Science (summa cum laude), from Long Island University, New York, USA; a Masters of Arts in Contemporary Diplomacy with a concentration in Internet Government (pass with merit) from the University of Malta; and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of the West Indies. Mr. Eric E. Joseph was elected to the Board in January, 2020. He is a Telecoms Operations Manager by profession and has over two decades of experience in the areas of Telecommunications, ICTs, Electrical Power systems and Renewable Energy systems. As a former Cable and Wireless employee, he has held several engineering and executive roles for that company in Antigua & Barbuda and the wider Caribbean region. These include serving as Vice President of Engineering for Cable and Wireless Antigua from 2002 to 2008, Head of Technology Operations for the Leeward Islands, BVI and the Turks & Caicos islands from 2008-2012 and Head of Operations Improvement for Cable and Wireless Caribbean from 2012-2014. Following his departure from C&W in 2014, Mr. Joseph started his own company Rejays Consulting which specializes in telecoms consultancy, construction management, electrical contracting and project management. He also works as a consultant with several local companies and serves as Technical Services Consultant in the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Information Technology. He studied Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at Coventry University in the Midlands UK and also holds a Master of Business Administration (Distinction) degree from the University of the West Indies (Cavehill). He is also is a former President of the Rotary Club of Antigua (2017/2018), an active Rotarian since 2012, and Director of Service Projects (2013 to 2017). Ms. Mavis George was re-elected to the Board in April, 2023. She previously served as Vice Chairman on the ACB Caribbean Board of Directors from September 24, 2009 to January 30, 2020. She also previously served on the Board of Directors of ACB Mortgage & Trust Company Limited during the period, May, 2015 to January, 2020.
Ms. George is currently an Entrepreneur since July, 2019 offering consultancy, AirBnB, real estate and other rental related services. She is also engaged in the supply of goods to Hotels, Restaurants and Supermarkets. She previously served as the General Manager of Antigua Fisheries Ltd. from 1986 to 2019 and is the current Stewardship Director of the St. John’s Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Ms. George holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, an Executive Diploma in Management, a Diploma in Accounting and a Certificate in Management from Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA).
